Job Purpose
Internal Audit Manager / Head of Internal Audit to lead the internal audit function and provide independent assurance regarding the effectiveness of the company’s internal controls, governance processes, financial practices, and adherence to internal policies and procedures.
The role will be responsible for developing and executing the internal audit plan, identifying control weaknesses and violations, reporting findings to senior management and the Board of Directors, and monitoring the implementation of corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with the rules, policies, and procedures established under the company’s internal regulations.
Develop and execute the company’s internal audit plan, taking into consideration identified risk areas and the Risk Manager’s assessment.
Review and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems.
Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of internal procedures, particularly within areas identified as higher risk.
Identify and report violations, control deficiencies, and areas of non-compliance to the Board of Directors and senior management.
Follow up on corrective actions taken to address identified audit findings and violations.
Prepare periodic internal audit reports for senior management and the Board of Directors.
Review the company’s documentation and transaction cycles and assess the effectiveness of related procedures and controls.
Establish and assess controls designed to prevent and detect fraud and errors.
Verify the accuracy and reliability of information included in financial reports.
Coordinate and cooperate with external auditors in determining relevant external audit areas.
Provide recommendations to senior management and the Board regarding improvements to internal controls and financial practices.
Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and report outstanding issues.
Maintain the independence and objectivity of the internal audit function.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Relevant university degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in financial markets or related fields, in accordance with the stated FRA requirement for the Internal Audit Manager.
Strong experience in internal audit, internal controls, financial controls, and risk-based auditing.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to NBFIs.
Experience preparing audit reports for senior management and/or Boards of Directors.
Ability to successfully complete the examinations and personal interview required by the FRA, where applicable.

Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
Internal Audit Practitioner
Chartered Internal Auditor
Certificate in Internal Audit and Business Risk (IIA)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
International Compliance Association (ICA) Certificate
Relevant Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited university
Other relevant certifications or training recognized by the FRA
